Morten Bøås is Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). He works on question concerning civil wars, insurgencies and asymmetrical warfare, and its humanitarian and political consequences. Morten has considerable fieldwork experience from conflict affected areas and utilize a broad scope of social science methods in his research. Morten has been the PI of two large consortiums funded by the EU Horizon 2020 programme, namely EUNPACK 2016-2019 and PREVEX 2020-2023.
